Get your company into ChatGPT and Perplexity answers

Customers scroll through ten blue links less and less. They ask an assistant and get three names. I make sure your company is one of them — and I prove it with numbers, not promises.

This is what the result looks like

Query: a local search for good-quality concrete building blocks

ChatGPT answers with a company card: address, a 4.7 rating, 18 reviews, block types. At the bottom of the answer — “1 source”. Not one of ten, but the only one.

That source is a business directory I built and run myself. The model took all the facts about the business from it and sent the customer straight to the company's listing.

Query: “Where to buy a shower enclosure” (local search)

ChatGPT lists my client's website as the first source: with prices, the showroom address and delivery terms. Four competitors follow. The difference between first and fifth place in an assistant's answer is the difference in phone calls.

ChatGPT cites a business directory in an answer about dental clinics

Query: “Dental clinics in the city centre”

Here ChatGPT cites the directory three times in a single answer: it takes the number of clinics in the area from it, and then two specific companies with addresses and ratings.

This is the most valuable type of query — when a person asks the assistant to pick from many. It's exactly how a company makes the shortlist, even if the model never found its own website.

Why classic SEO is no longer enough

A search engine answers with a list of links, and the fight is for a place in it. A model answers with a ready-made solution and names two or three companies. Getting onto that shortlist depends on different things.

  • Readable for AI crawlers. Can the bot read your site, or is it wasting its crawl budget on technical files instead of your service pages?
  • Machine-readable data. Address, opening hours, services, prices and reviews in structured markup — not in an image or a PDF.
  • Consistent information. The same name, address and phone number everywhere the company is mentioned.
  • Independent mentions. Models rely on sources they trust: directories, roundups, reviews, publications.
  • Answers instead of ads. Copy that directly answers the customer's question rather than talking about a “dynamic, fast-growing company”.

What the work includes

01

Visibility audit

I collect 30–50 real questions your customers ask and check the answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI. I record who gets named instead of you.

02

Technical accessibility

I analyze the logs: what exactly the bots read, where crawl budget is lost, which pages return errors. Then I fix it.

03

Structured data

Schema.org: organization, services, prices, opening hours, reviews, FAQs. Information a model can quote word for word.

04

Question-driven content

Pages that answer your customers' specific questions. These are the texts models are most willing to cite.

05

Directory listings

Listings in relevant business directories that AI crawlers read every day. Complete data, markup, every language you need.

06

Measuring AI traffic

Visits from AI often arrive without a referrer and show up in analytics as direct traffic. I set up tracking that separates them out.

In most niche queries, there's almost no competition for a mention yet. Today.

A year from now, the spots will belong to those who started now.

No one can guarantee a place in an assistant's answer. What I guarantee is this: your site will be technically accessible to AI models, your data will be complete, and progress will be measurable.

FAQ

How is this different from SEO?

SEO brings people in from search results. Here the goal is for the model to name your company in its answer, even if the person never visits your site. Part of the work overlaps: what helps AI usually helps Google too.

How long until I see results?

The first changes show up in 3–6 weeks: models re-crawl sources constantly. Consistent mentions take a few months and depend on the number of independent sources.

Can this be measured?

Yes. Crawler activity is visible in server logs from day one, and visits once tracking is set up. Plus manual checks of the answers against your list of questions.

Do I need a new website?

Usually not. In most cases improving the existing one is enough. If you have no website at all, a directory listing can be the starting point.

Do assistant answers change?

Yes, and that's normal. The same question on different days produces a different list of companies: models re-crawl sources and rebuild the answer. So one good answer proves nothing — what matters is the share of queries where you're named and how it changes over time. That's exactly what I track in the monthly report.
